Could definitely go for some Texas sun right now. My stomach hurts.

These photos are absolutely amazing as well as hyper surreal. Photographer Richard Mosse shot a series of photos in Eastern Congo with incredible results.

The holidays have been crazy on this side, so I will be getting back to normal starting tomorrow.
Hope everything has been awesome for you all.
Yelling to my landlord’s dog to shut the f*ck up while I was half asleep probably wasn’t the most thankful thing to do today.
Hindsight: Dude doesn’t shut up, ever. It’s not Christmas.

Recommended Listening / DJ Mixtape
My favorite DJ related thing to do for the last four years has been my annual Fall Music For Cloudplum Mixtape. What started out as me making a live mix on a Texas Fall day a few years ago, has turned into an on going series related to my favorite season as well as the style of music I tend to lean towards for home listening. Cloudplum is a design/music/culture blog I have contributed to in the past.
Volume 4 is comprised of nothing but Japanese artists, which marks the first time in the series devoted entirely to a specific area in the world. I spent the Summer of 2010 in Tokyo and I miss it everyday.
Please feel free to reblog, download, and share with everyone.

You must learn.

Hi guys,
So I thought I would start taking things a little more seriously again and I decided to upgrade my Soundcloud page. I now have unlimited downloads and some extra room to post more music I made or edit.
If you aren’t following me or just want stuff that you could potentially DJ, you must learn.

Giant Robot continues to stand as one of my favorite cultural sources ever. Their newest podcast episode interviews Tamlyn Tomita of Karate Kid II fame, amongst many other supporting roles, including TV sensation Glee!
It’s funny to hear about how everyone basically tells her that they were in love with her. I too was am in love with her and Karate Kid II has been a thing of an internal debate as of late. Though the 80’s were filled with Ninja references and other Asian stereotypes, I am pretty sure Daniel’s trip to Okinawa with Mr. Miyagi was the first spark of all things Japanese.

Loads of podcasts catch ups this week. Of course had to stop into Stones Throw to see what was going on over there and super stoked on this Anika mixtape. I think I have pretty much downloaded and posted every mix she has done.
Anika put this together for Stones Throw right after her recent US tour. Filled with Post Punk, Minimal Wave, Future Bass, + more.
Highly recommending you to subscribe to Stones Throw podcast if anything just for this one!
