fuckingcelebrate.The City Parks Foundation sure does know how to treat NY like the lucky gal she is and treat us to some of the year’s best (and free) multi-cultural events throughout our incredible city.
Summer Stage is here and the line up is ever impressive. Having already caught Big Daddy Kane in Bed Stuy and The Zombies in Central Park, this Summer is off to a banging start.
Though some great shows have already passed, just know Mos Def, Rock Steady Crew Anniversary, Kool Herc Hip Hop Retrospective, Joe Bataan, The Ghetto Brothers reunion, Shuggie Otis, Pete Rock vs Dj Premier + so much more is still going down. Picture me rolling.

New York seems to be up in arms about the new Citibike venture from Citibank. The first of it’s kind in NY, Citibike is a bike share program with over 300 locations across the city allowing locals and tourists to travel through the city in the best possible way… on a bike. I feel the US is lacking in all things public transportation and this makes NYC that much better for me, but not everyone feels the same.
Dorothy Rabinowitz of WSJ board, whom is more than likely to break a hip before breaking news, ripped the program a new one. I am a cycling advocate, especially in major metropolitan areas, I may be biased… but what do you think about the program?

I have known Jayceeoh for a few years now. He did a great Live At Home mix for Fully Fitted years ago and now he is VH1’s Master Of The Mix champion. It’s always dope to see one of the homies make it and I am glad I caught to interview him for Turntable Lab.
