I can’t get enough of these mixes from the finest folks at Finest Ego. One thing I will say is I am eagerly anticipating to see an unknown stateside producer featured in the series. Maybe my dude Boombaptist can do one for them.
The two latest in the monthly mix series features 9th Cloud from France and Sirgeorge from Germany. Loads of Grime, Beats, Future Bass + more.

Like I said, Finest Ego doesn’t stick to the rules of a monthly mix… However, I will say this might be the best Future Garage / Post Dubstep mix I have heard this year. Well that Ramadanman Fabric Mix is kind of holding that torch actually, but this is still pretty great.
This was recorded live to DAT using nothing but vinyl. The tracks are pretty fresh stating that none of them are more than 3 months old, so in internet terms people have already forgotten about these songs.
Radio&Fernesh’s taste is impeccable and the mixing is generally pretty on point.

BEATS BEATS BEATS!!!
Finest Ego continues their monthly mix series with a double header (actually triple since they don’t actually follow a “monthly” schedule) from Berlin based DJs Scott Hobbs & Soulmind. The mix is split into two sections, Peaktime and Afterhour. The mixes were recorded live from a supposed magical evening opening up for Mike Slott.
Loads of Fly Lo, edIT, Lunice, Jamie XX, and new comer Ifan Dafydd + many more in the set.
Since we have two sets, there will be two links.

Finest Ego is back at it with their “monthly” mix that seems to come around more than once a month, which I am not complaining about. This time we got Gordon from Project:Mooncircle (co-creatives with FE) taking up the mixing duties and they say it is more of a tribute mix.

The lovely folks over at Finest Ego are keeping to their word in their somewhat young mix series. For those not familiar, Finest Ego have been releasing regional beat maker compilations that include Russia, Japan, Australia, and the latest being UK/Ireland that are absolutely far out.
Perth’s Ta-Ku curates this latest mix for FE whom was also featured on their first collaborative 12 inch release with Project:Mooncircle.
Solid, Solid, Solid. To download Ta-Ku’s mix, you must learn.

Recommended Listening / Mixtape Series
The lovely folks at Finest Ego have just released their July mix in the ongoing series of excellent mixtapes. Though the monthly mix series is in it’s 2nd month, the latest is volume 3. Don’t know what caused them to release two for June, but I am not complaining.
For those not entirely familiar with the label, they started with an excellent compilation of Japanese beat makers and have since followed with Russian, and New Zealand/ Australian being the latest. All releases highlight the growing global scene of beatsmiths that are currently working their way to dominance. Some more established than others, the aesthetic is broad enough to not get boring or boom bappy.
Highly recommended mix series to follow as well as a solid start up for a relatively new label.
