Herbie Hancock - The Imagine Project
Recommended Watching.
I have been playing Herbie’s Head Hunters on repeat as of late, and coincidentally a new studio project from the man himself just got released.
The Imagine Project is not simply a new studio album, but a collaboration with some of the world’s greatest musicians and Pink (yeah, that Pink). India Arie, Seal, Konono no 1, Ravi + Ananda Shankar, + many more. I guess I am defeating the intentions of this project if I am going to cast hatred on one of the artists.
With that set aside, the goal of the project is to unify the people through music. Not a new idea at all, but still a strong idea that I can fully relate to.
The timing of this release couldn’t have been better as the world is now screaming at us to take care of what we have and each other.
