Win Win: Ones And Zeros

Recommended Listening
Win Win releases a new mini ep featuring MC Spank Rock & a newcomer that just goes by the name Brady. If you caught Win Win on any one of their recent tours you may have heard Ones and Zeros towards their later dates with the flip being a Crass cover that is fucking fantastic.
Like krauty grooves and psychedelic freak outs? GET THIS SHIT.

Olympus Stylus Epic Revisited
I recently took in a couple of rolls of film to get processed and theses are some of my favorite shots from the B&W roll.

Dr. Devlin
Shot this while walking around the LES a few days ago with Dr. Devlin of Win Win/Spank Rock (@Dr_devlinstien). Ate at this really great place called Baohaus on Rivington (try the new taro fries, LVLS) and this wall presented itself on the way out.
For two years now, I have waited impatiently for the Mobroder mixtape to arrive, and at long last, the glory eagle has landed. The Mobroder concept looks like this: add one part Spank Rock, one part HOFF and one part Blu Jemz & find yourself transported back to 1983 Miami with disco legend Mobroder as he struggles to remain relevant in a world where Italo-Disco could bring an end to his once glorious career and love life.
Inspired by Cerrone‘s classic “Love in C MINOR”, the mixtape is fueled by skits & filled with solid disco classics and mixes from Flagranti, Shazam, Nile Delta, and Turotito. Expect to hear guest appearances from Amanda Blank, Maluca, Hussle Club, Da Hardy Boyz, Gumshoe, Eli Escobar, Posso, and Roxy Cottontail along the way.
TV On The Radio - Will Do (XXX¢hange Dancehall Remix)

Recommended Download
I have had the fortune to play this for well over a month now before it’s release, and it has definitely turned so many heads whilst doing so. XXXchange of Win Win/Spank Rock/Fully Fitted fame has made a monster of a dancehall chune for us of your indie rock / space cadet darlings TV On The Radio. For this remix alone I believe must now call them TV Pon The Radio.
You can get this hot fiyah over at RCRDLBL for free.

BBC Christmas 7
Bryce came through mad quick with the recap video from our road shows in DC and Baltimore a couple of days ago. This looks really good and I can’t wait to knock mine out. I unfortunately didn’t get to record anything in DC and missed POPO in Baltimore since I was DJing, but I got some good stuff either way.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Spank Rock + The Death Set: Little Drummer Boy
I hung out with these boys right after they made this video and they wouldn’t tell me what they made. I am glad they didn’t because this is so F*CKING awesome. I had no idea Young Hanks and Johnny were as good at acting as they are at crashing parties.
Here is a new video/commercial/video/thing by Ghostdad for ‘ReleaseRPM’ … Its the lead single from our record due out in FEB. on Vice. The song features Lizzie Bougatsos (Gang Gang Dance).
The vocals where originally recorded for another song on the record. Its a pretty heavy dance song called ‘Not Too Late’ with a vocal sample and a SICK Casio SK-1 dog yelp. After trying to get the vocals to fit without much luck we went back to the drawing board and figured out some new parts, and in turn a new song. ’Release RPM’ is the result.

Kele Okereke - The Boxer

Recommended Listening / New Release
Its finally here! I had the pleasure to sit in on the recording / brainstorming sessions of almost this entire album. Last Fall when I was working an internship with XXXchange of Spank Rock / Fully Fitted fame, Kele was also coming over to the studio to work on what is now The Boxer.
The album should be available to the world today whether it be via iTunes or your local mom & pop (shop locally please).
I am very proud of the work that Alex aka XXXchange put into this album and really hope it is received well amongst the music blogs and the horrible people that run them.
