Last night/this morning from 1-5 AM we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the much applauded Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito “The Barber” Mix show. The whole crew was in full effect with some young blood in the house as well.
I am sure there will be a ton of versions of this recording, but this is the first version I found and it sounds decent enough.
Stretch and Bobbito played a major role in the Hip Hop scene through out the 90s and early 2000s as well as continue to wax poetic when called upon. They are great keepers of the history of such a great time in music and I am glad to have been able to grow up with listening to what I could get my hands on. Stretch now runs the great indie dance label Plant Music and Bobbito continues to be a much needed ambassador for the culture that is being lost slowly.
