Hello,Hope all is well for everyone reading this. Just a tiny note to say we are gonna put Nextah to sleep for a little bit. Sept 2nd will be the last one for the time being. Call it beauty sleep if you want.When we started the party our philosophy was to put ALL of the money back into the party to make it something we could remember for the rest of our lives. We feel that was accomplished by bringing you amazing guests such as:
SBTRKT’s US debut, DJ Sega, DJ Assault, Lunice’s first headlining show ever, Egyptrixx, Nadus, Nick Catchdubs, Mikix The Cat, Bonjay, Kool Hersh, Trishes, Prince Klassen, Induce, Them Jeans, and last but not least, the legendary Kenny Dope.
Oh yea, we forgot to mention the party was FREE ALWAYS.
Some of the best times of our lives were had here, we can close our eyes and see the smiles that were burned on our faces from 10pm-4am once a month. The Cove supplied the illest staff in the game, bar none. No one’s ever made a crew of dj’s and the most skeptical friends feel more comfortable.
We’re going out with our best foot forward. Music’s got insanely busy for all of us and it’s not in our blood to give anyone something that’s not 100%. So right now we’re just gonna let it simmer. I’ve been helping l-vis 1990 with his full length LP back and forth over since september. We’ve had a great time. It’s been a very organic process, all hardware, lots of experimenation and above all fun. We had the honor of doing a remix for cassius and fader came in to do a video piece of us. This is all real footage that is actually on the mix. dig it!
