Austin based hot girl Yadira Brown (@coraverde) posted this track on her Soundcloud last week some time and once I heard it I asked for the stems. I decided to have a go at a remix of sorts and this is what we get. I am pretty happy with it and I think she feels the same way. Be sure to peep her band L.A.X. when they perform next time around.

I have had the fortune to play this for well over a month now before it’s release, and it has definitely turned so many heads whilst doing so. XXXchange of Win Win/Spank Rock/Fully Fitted fame has made a monster of a dancehall chune for us of your indie rock / space cadet darlings TV On The Radio. For this remix alone I believe must now call them TV Pon The Radio.

Just posted over at Fully Fitted, we have a new artist making his debut today with a Moombahton remix. Power Paws is XXXchange’s little cousin that was also blessed with a great ear for making dance music. Moombahton is really making waves in the global bass community and I hope this track gets the attention it needs.

WIN WIN - ReleaseRPM

It’s official, the first single from WIN WIN’s full length album just got released today on iTunes.
As some of you already know, Fully Fitted got a new project going on called WIN WIN. XXXchange, Devlin, and Ghostdad run the WIN WIN show and the full length album is due to drop Feb 15th on Vice Records.
Lots of blogging been taking place for the leaks of the first single off the record, Release RPM, featuring Lizzie from Gang Gang Dance on vocals.
Now the official version of the single is out in all it’s wonderful glory with an unreleased B-side sitting nicely next to that Moombahton remix from Nadastrom.

Some of you have been asking for this and I am sorry I have been a little behind schedule with it. I started my Fall Mix series for the design/lifestyle blog, Cloudplum, 3 years ago with the idea being based around music that reminds me of my favorite season.
I rarely listen to my own mixes/music , but I still can’t stop listening to last year’s Fall mix. I am glad the series has a lot of interest in it, so this year I took my time to make it right.
I dedicate this mix to Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse whom passed away in March of 2010. His music has always been an inspiration and hope he is still making music where ever he is now.

Turntable Lab Radio: Prince Klassen

The Lab put the post up late last night, and the show aired on Thursday morning pretty late or early depending on what kind of person you are. Either way I am so happy to have done this mix for them.
There are a lot of exclusives on the mix, as well as new tunes from mostly homies that I am really feeling.
You can expect a lot of percussive / jackin’ house tunes.

Here is a new video/commercial/video/thing by Ghostdad for ‘ReleaseRPM’ … Its the lead single from our record due out in FEB. on Vice. The song features Lizzie Bougatsos (Gang Gang Dance).
The vocals where originally recorded for another song on the record. Its a pretty heavy dance song called ‘Not Too Late’ with a vocal sample and a SICK Casio SK-1 dog yelp. After trying to get the vocals to fit without much luck we went back to the drawing board and figured out some new parts, and in turn a new song. ’Release RPM’ is the result.

Your Weekend with Yours Truly
I am DJing a few times this weekend, so if you are on the East Coast holler at a player.
First on Friday, I will be DJing with the homies, Michna of Ghostly fame + Them Jeans of Dim Mak fame. The party will be at The Cove in Williamsburg and should be a blast. Also, down the street at Public Assembly Flashing Lights will be going down with special guest Natalie Storm headlining. So kill two birds and make your way over to that area, puhlease.
Then on Saturday I am heading to Philly to party with Dj Apt One of The Philadelphyinz. I have heard nothing but good things about their parties, and can’t wait to get out there. The theme for the night is Sex Machine, so let’s make sure we keep it funky.
