Affection
South Brooklyn
More shots from my Thanksgiving day ride. The framing is better on the pier shot than the last one I posted.
Chuuuurch
I love old churches. This one is at the bottom of Sunset Park on 5th ave. Gigantic and very beautiful.
Brooklyn Fishing
More shots from my Thanksgiving ride. The framing on these is just a little off, but I can’t complain.
As I walk along the pier, I stood to take a photo as a man sitting, listening to the big game complimented my bike. I say thank you and out of habit get closer to start a conversation. Of course, having nothing to say, he was a true New Yorker in the sense that he loved to talk about himself and relate to most things you are into… only be better at it.
What I learned.
His radio was solar powered.
He rides 20 miles a day to and from work in the city (pretty awesome).
He used to be a welterweight boxer (loads of boxer names I didn’t recognize thrown out).
He was once flown to Africa to fight the champ, and beat him.
Never got his shot.
This one Chinese guy was killing the pier that day.
I wish I could go fishing with my dad again.
::NOTE::
I have another shot that is framed a little better of the entire pier. It will be posted next week.
Thanksgiving Day Ride
Decided to take a stroll South during Thanksgiving day. I was home alone. The weather was perfect. Why not?
