DJ Orion: Moombounce EP

The homie DJ Orion (@Dj_orion) has yet to drop this officially, so this is kind of a sneak peak for those that don’t follow the circular DJ blog world.
Speaking of blog worlds, this newest EP sees that of two musical worlds colliding for an interesting take on what Ableton is helping the ADD generation create.
New Orleans Bounce proper has been around since the early 90s that has seen it’s peaks and valleys of mainstream success, but has mostly stayed regional for the better part of it’s life.
Moombahton, on the other hand, is pretty fresh in the musical world and is still finding it’s voice amongst the many sub genres that have already spawned from it. Dave Nada is credited for creating the Dutch House hybrid and has seen support worldwide from it. Moombahton grew exponentially via viral sources through out the internet and I am curious to see where it goes.
Surprisingly THIS WORKS! Orion has been my main man for some time and I am always surprised at what he has in the works, and this is another notch he can add to the belt. I don’t think this will create another unwanted sub genre, but I do think it will create a frenzy on the dance floor.

Sonora - Siempre Fresco EP

The San Antonio native & homie Sonora has just released his newest EP as of today via his bandcamp. This last weekend he was also added as the newest member to Peligrosa. The South’s best Latin dance party.
Siempre Fresco has Sonora finding his voice and has fine tuned what I knew what could come from him. Cumbia Digital is currently infiltrating everyone’s playlists as of late and this will rank among the top of the group in my opinion. I think with one more release, Sonora will have worked out the rough edges and be someone to definitely look out for.
This is his best work to date, and I am full co-signing this release. I actually wish I could have released it on my label.

My really good friend and Dj partner, Dj Orion, has set out to change things with his new mix and edits. Dave Nada’s Moombahton has slowly been rolling down the hill, snowballing into an unstoppable Latin force. Munchi being the highlight of the scene in my opinion, dude is just ill.
Orion has gone and flipped what they are doing and just took it to a whole other level of craziness. This is Boombahton or Boombachero.
