  • It seems like it’s been years since I have ventured away from Kashi’s Heart to Heart joints, but man… even though this sounds like a weed variant, it’s kind of the jam.

There actually might be weed in this cereal.

  • It’s official, Japadog is now in New York. I didn’t even know this was going to happen, but it’s true… banger. I did a small review of our shipset outing last night over at Turntable Lab’s blog. To see what we ate and live through our stomachs, you must learn.

  • Walking into a local Cub Grocery in the outskirts of the twin cities I was greeted by my peoples culinary delicacies. I could barely contain myself as I was filled with excitement. Finally some Mexi… err Hispanic food (it all ties together at the end).

Let me explain my disliking of food in vats. I can’t help but get disgusted knowing where some food came from and this would be no exception. First off I could not eat this to begin with as I still don’t eat the meat (pause), but even if this was vegan I would not partake having seen that it was sitting in a huge pot of grossness. Large amounts of anything edible inside of what is basically a bucket = gnar gnar kadafi.

So with plenty of taco shells sitting in the distance I dipped right next door to the other pot full of….

You know, the other element of what makes the perfect recipe for what could be the best taco you have ever had in your life. All I can say is MMMMMMMMMMM, hot yellow liquid sitting for hours. Nice marble tops though. Let’s keep moving.

So up until this point I was taking random photos and doing some light shopping without any trouble. Then we got to the pudding section. There is always trouble in the pudding section. We went with vanilla as per request from the Nguyen family, an easy choice.

We start walking towards the checkout and I see this…

    Boom BUSTED!

After being told to not take photos in the store I couldn’t help but feel like my people have lost the struggle. First the natives that were forced away and or killed off to make way for Cub Grocery and the like. Now the Hispanic people can get characterized by taco meat and cheese sauce, but hey at least we have a section the market. Had I looked at the actual product in our section I could only imagine an assortment of “taco ingredients”.

    Pink Cheese, Green Ghost.

  • Recipe / Djs In the Kitchen / Vegetarian

Tonight I cooked for @Mcinaustin . I was about to eat a cookie when I quickly realized that I had not had one bit of real food all day. So a quick look into the ‘fridge and some Macguyver concoction later, this is what we have.

Granted two of the main ingredients were frozen, it was the means in which I cooked them that made them special.

For full photo story + recipe, you must learn.
